Welcome to the first Southern Idaho Aphid Monitoring Network Bulletin. In collaboration with the Idaho Crop Improvement Association, Idaho Potato Commission, agronomists and potato growers we have set up an insect monitoring network of more than 30 sites across Southern Idaho. This network will be used to track aphid movements in Southern Idaho. If you are looking for the Northern Idaho Aphid Monitoring Network, also known as the Legume Virus Project, you can find it here.
We will be using the standard yellow bucket trap, also known as a pan trap to collect flying insects. For more information on yellow pan trapping, please check out this great resource here.
