Welcome to the Southern Idaho Aphid Monitoring Network. This network consists of more than 30 sites across Southern Idaho and will be updated for the 2023 growing season when monitoring starts in mid-late June 2023. Its purpose is to track aphid movement across Southern Idaho. However, other flying insects such a the potato psyllid are also attracted to the traps and can be monitored. The network uses the standard yellow bucket trap, to collect flying insects. For more information on yellow pan trapping, please check out this great resource.
