Bulletin number 11, 8/3 – 8/9/20
No late blight has been found in Idaho yet this season. However, late blight was reported in Adams Co., WI on Aug 10.
Bulletin number 10, 7/27 – 8/2
No spores of P. infestans (late blight) were detected at any of the spore traps in Idaho this week. With the hot dry weather in place over the Snake River Valley conditions are not suitable for late blight infection or spread.
Bulletin number 9, 7/20 – 7/26
No late blight has been detected in Idaho to date. With hot dry weather across the region the risk of late blight this week remains low.
Bulletin number 8, 7/13 – 7/19
No late blight has been detected in Idaho to date. With hot dry weather across the region the risk of late blight this week remains low.
Bulletin number 7, 7/9 – 7/15/20
No late blight has been detected in Idaho to date. With hot dry weather across the region the risk of late blight this week remains low.
Bulletin number 6, 7/1 – 7/8/2020
No late blight spores have been detected in Idaho yet. With cool and humid temperatures in the Rupert area last week the late blight risk remains moderate. However, with the hot dry weather now in the region the risk of late blight in the rest of the Snake River Valley is low.
Bulletin number 5, 6/22 – 7/1/20
Late blight has not yet been reported in Idaho. However, late blight risk is elevated across S Idaho with the current cool wet weather conditions.
Bulletin number 4, 6/15 -6/21/2020
This week conditions were more conducive to late blight across the snake river valley with cool cloudy weather. But late blight has not been reported in Idaho yet and no spores have been detected.
Bulletin number 3, 6/8 – 6/14/20
This week late blight was found in a home owners garden in western Washington state near Mt Vernon. Late blight has not yet been reported in Idaho.
